cat-sitting

This weekend Benjamin and Maria are away, so Lucy and I are looking after their cat, Super Gato. We dropped around to see her late morning and give her some food. She seemed pretty happy to have some company, but was a little camera shy to begin with.

She soon got her revenge!

In the afternoon, Lucy and I cycled along the canal for a while. A lot of people were there, sitting around chatting, drinking, and we even saw guy swimming in there. Wonder if he's still alive? Anyways, the canal is still fully operational, so every now and again water would come gushing out of the lock near us, then the bridge would swing to one side to let the boat through.

There's about 3 or 4 of these locks to pass through in quite a short space, and then it's through the long tunnel under Blvd Richard Lenoir and out into the Seine.

In the evening we headed back to Benjamin and Maria's place to see Super Gato again.
