Satori

So, we have a phone line sorted out, and internet is on it's way!!

Pottered around today doing a bit of shopping and working on slowly stocking our shelves. Food shopping here is a totally different experience to back home. There is still many specialist shops, so that the boulangerie does bread, but the patisserie does all the pastries and cakes, etc. We've been dabbling in a bit of that, along with supermarket shopping, although even that is different here. Within 5 mins of us are about 4 or 5 supermarkets. Some are cheaper, and the brands they stock vary from day to day, others are really only good for non-food items, some only stock frozen items, but not budget style like in England. most of the time we have been going to G20, which might be a little more expensive for certain things, but carries a bit of everything.
Here in France it seems like people go shopping every day or so rather than one big weekly shop (I guess this is the bakery mentality. got to have daily fresh bread!)
Anyways, tonight I went with Mark to the premiere of the new Satori skateboards wheels video premiere. It was held at a billards bar about 10 mins walk from our street.

The video was cool. Nothing groundbreaking, but fun to see, and lots of new spots all over the world, which always gives skaters itchy feet!!
So far we've been pretty busy and I haven't had a chance to go skating. I have a new board I need to set up, but the weather has been against me too. Today was non-stop rain, which put pay to any idea of going skating after being inspired by the video.
