Brother Phil. Day 2
This morning we woke around 10am and headed out on the bikes (with me on my crusing skateboard because we only have 2 bikes!). We pedaled and pushed down to Bastille, where they were setting up a huge soundsystem in preparation for the annual Gay Pride march today. The sound coming from it was so loud! We hung out for a while and made some calls to find out what people were up to. Phil decided to break out his skating skills on the cruiser and pushed around.

Benjamin and Maria were close by, but checking out an art exhibition, so we organised to meet them when they were done and went to grab some lunch at our favourite restaurant on the edge of the Marais.
We hooked up with Benjamin and Maria (see Lucy's blog) and then made our way over to the Jardin des Plantes, walked by the edge of the zoo and soak up some rays.

Red Pandas in full effect!
After a bit of a wander we rolled over to the Institute de Monde Arabe where we bumped into the Gay Pride parade. We chilled there for a while and watched some of the carnival go past.

The parade was huge,

but we were soon on our way home.

Philip and I decided it was time to take care of the handlebars on my bike, so we took it up to the apartment to sort it out.
(i'll try and get a photo of the result soon. It's quite amusing!)
In the evening we all cycled down to the river to hang out and watch the boats go by and soak up some of the Friday night atmosphere (thanks to Tura for loaning me his bike).
Then it was back home to see Fos, Alan and the other Heroin Skateboards guys, who are here again for a couple of days. We listened to many a funny tale told by Fos and Alan, and then headed up to Le Soleil for a drink and then sleep.
