Lovely day for a walk?
Have my legs fallen off yet?
We went to go check out our local market. We are surrounded by them, each being a couple of minutes walk from our apartment and on different days of the week. The one in Bastille is on Tuesdays and Sundays (or something like that). Anyway, this was the Sunday market. You can buy pretty much any food you are looking for or anything else for that matter at the markets.
We decided to do a bit of touristing today and go check out the Promenade Plantée, which is an old elevated railway section which leads out of town from Bastille. Since the railway line became disused, it has been turned into a walkway where you can get away from the traffic and the arches turned into shops.
It was a pretty crisp winter day, but the sun kept us warm. The promenade was really cool. It leads through a couple of parks and it was really interesting to see the way the architecture has been built around it to provide more apartments.
We got home feeling completely knackered, but Lucy managed to find renewed energy when Eva suggested they go check out the sales at Gallarie LaFayette. I dropped by Newt's place and hung out with him and Soy while they worked on a t-shirt graphic for a friend of theirs who was shot and killed in Vancouver whilst trying to break up a fight!
