Move it!

Today I was working in town, helping someone to move all their furniture into their new apartment. It's overlooking the Seine and opposite the Louvre, so it's in a pretty amazing location, although it does mean that there's busy traffic passing by the whole time and loads of tourists wanders outside the door, but I guess that's a small price to pay.
I got the metro to the Tulleries and wandered through them to get to the house. Not a bad route to commute by.

The install wasn't too bad. We had one of those escalators on the back of a truck to lift all the furniture and boxes in, then pulled them in through the window, unwrapped everything and sent all the rubbish back down the same way.
It took most of the day to sort it all out, so we're going to go back tomorrow to hang some mirrors and do the fiddily bits and pieces.
